18cm tall x 8cm dia. Each piece is thrown by hand on the wheel by me in my small studio in the Somerset Countryside.
Every bottle begins with the wedging and weighing of a ball of clay which is then thrown on the wheel to create a bottle shape. The piece is left to dry for a week to ten days before being fired over a period of three days to 950 degrees. Each piece is then glazed. I like to experiment with overlapping different glazes to create new colour combinations. All my glazes are mixed from powders and are food safe. The piece is then fired to 1240 degrees a final time.
Please watch the video as this has an interesting glaze pattern which I love but it’s different from every angle!
